Announcing the 21st International Festival of Women ComposersMarch 8-26, 2017

Join us in beautiful Ames in March 2017 – during Women’s History Month – at a time when spring is in full swing in northern Florida.
Call for ParticipationThe purpose of the 21st International Festival of Women Composers is to be an international crossroads for networking among women composers and their advocates.The only requirement for the content of your proposal is that the music you wish to perform or discuss has to be composed by a woman.If you are interested in contributing to the Festival please go to the Contact page and submit the following information to the Festival Founder and Creative Director Dr. Miriam Zach:a scoreaudio CD or link to online version of the pieceprogram notes including a one-paragraph biographylength of the workany required translationstechnical requirements (i.e. performer(s) and equipment)accompanied by a cover page stating your name, address, institution (if applicable), phone number, and email address; or send the information via email with attachments (.rtf, .pdf, or .doc)We also welcome the submission of papers and round-table discussions which may focus on theory, research, or practice developed from a wide spectrum of topics in women’s studies in music. Please fill out the contact form and include a 200-word proposal accompanied by a cover page stating your name, address, institution, phone number, and technical requirements.Deadline:All compositions, accompanying information, and proposals for presentations are to be submitted by January 1, 2017.
